N. D. Hill
Noel D. Hill was born and raised in Maine and studied for his bachelor's in fine arts at the University of Southern Maine. Apart from this, he has spent his life immersed in various forms of visual storytelling. Sequential art, illustration, conceptual design, surrealism, neo-expressionism as well as actual nature and technology continue to serve as endless source of inspiration for his own work. Hill believes that fantastic, surreal, grotesque and absurd imagery plays a crucial role in allowing us to see our familiar world with new perspective. Additionally, in order for the fantastic to be effective, it must reflect reality. Hill works in a variety of mediums but specializes in digital painting. His work is a constant experiment, testing the relationship between traditional drawing and painting discipline with the digital workspace.
